Music in the Making began in 2006, when it was conceived by senior Roshni Oommen.  Roshni was disturbed by the nationwide trend of eliminating elementary music programs, as well as the dwindling number of students becoming involved in music.  The original event included a musical petting zoo, games of musical chairs, and a variety of performances, including "street performers."  As the Lincoln East chapter has grown, so has Music in the Making.  This year's event seeks to expand its scope, while still staying true to its foundation-- good music and good fun.
